Fakhr al-Din Mubarak Shah Farrukhi
(?-1242)
   He was one of the Tajik nobles who became very powerful during the reign of Mu'izz al-Din Bahram Shah (1240-1242). Under his influ-ence, Bahram Shah was contemplating a wholesale removal of the Turkish slave officers from high positions. Getting an inkling of the planned move, they killed Farrukhi in October 1242. He was the last wazir with military inclinations in the Delhi sultanate until the rise of the Tughlaq dynasty in 1320.
